The James Watts is a refreshing change from the former grotty pub it was. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff friendly and the drinks menu extensive. Visit early enough and the food is delicious and for those who smoke the area outside is one of the best I have seen.

Great award winning pub. Boasts a variety of real ales. Lovely decor with a roaring fire. The James Watts offers a simple but tasty menu. Today I just had the soup, very delicious. Carrot and coriander. One of the best I've ever had. There's a selection of board games to choose from if you with to play. Also hosts live music nights.
